Website Reviews
Reviews are one of the most powerful tools for building trust with potential clients. Your TIDY website showcases your reviews, and you have control over how they're displayed and managed.
How Customers Can Leave Reviews
Customers can post reviews in three different ways:
- After job completion: Clients receive a prompt to leave a review when you mark a job as complete
- Via client link: You can send clients their personalized client link, which gives them access to review past jobs
- Through your website: Visitors to your TIDY website can leave reviews directly on your public profile
Managing Your Website Reviews
You can control which reviews appear on your public website through the "Reviews" section of your TIDY for Pros app. This gives you the ability to highlight your best work while maintaining transparency.
Accessing Review Management
- Open the TIDY for Pros app
- Navigate to the "Reviews" section
- View all reviews you've received
- Manage which reviews appear on your public website

Featuring Reviews
You can choose to feature your best reviews prominently on your website. Featured reviews appear at the top and help potential clients see your strongest work first.
Controlling Visibility
While you cannot delete legitimate reviews, you have some control over how they're displayed on your public website. However, all reviews remain visible within the TIDY platform to maintain transparency.
Responding to Reviews
One of the most effective ways to manage your reputation is by responding professionally to all reviews, both positive and negative.
Responding to Positive Reviews
- Thank the client for their business
- Mention specific details they referenced
- Invite them to work with you again
- Keep responses brief and genuine
Example: "Thank you, Sarah! I'm so glad you were happy with how your kitchen turned out. It was a pleasure working with you, and I'd be happy to help with any future cleaning needs!"
Responding to Negative Reviews
- Stay calm and professional—never defensive
- Acknowledge their concerns
- Offer to make things right
- Take the conversation offline for resolution
- Show potential clients how you handle problems
Example: "I apologize that our service didn't meet your expectations. I'd like to understand what went wrong and make this right. Please contact me directly at [contact method] so we can resolve this."
Disputing Unfair Reviews
If you believe a review violates TIDY's review policy, you can dispute it:
Grounds for Dispute
- Review contains profanity or personal attacks
- Review is from someone who wasn't actually a client
- Review discusses matters unrelated to your service
- Review violates TIDY's terms of service
- Review is demonstrably false
How to Dispute a Review
- Navigate to the review in your app
- Select the dispute option
- Explain why the review should be removed
- Provide any supporting evidence
- Submit your dispute for review
TIDY's team will review disputes and may remove reviews that violate policies. This process typically takes 3-5 business days.
Earning More Positive Reviews
The best way to manage your reviews is to earn great ones consistently:
During the Job
- Communicate clearly about expectations
- Arrive on time and be professional
- Do thorough, high-quality work
- Address any issues immediately
- Leave the space clean and tidy
After the Job
- Follow up to ensure satisfaction
- Ask happy clients to leave a review
- Send a client link making it easy to review
- Thank clients who leave positive reviews
Asking for Reviews
Don't be shy about asking satisfied clients for reviews:
- Ask right after completing a job while the experience is fresh
- Make it easy by providing a direct link
- Explain that reviews help your small business grow
- Follow up politely if they don't leave one immediately
Example message: "Thanks for choosing my services! If you were happy with the work, I'd really appreciate it if you could leave a review. It helps other homeowners find my business. Here's a quick link: [client link]"
