Taking this backwards, a lot of PMS tools talk about the best AI property manager software, and most of these have negligible amount of AI compared to what it could be.
I think what people really expect to see with an AI property manager is something like a robot that does it for you, basically. And that is not the case with most of these providers today. Most of them have been around for a long time. Their PMS system is designed for humans, and they fundamentally, they’re designed for humans, so they just don’t, are not designed for full automation.
So you’re just paying for the software, and then you still have to manage it or hire someone to manage it, fundamentally. That is the main difference. They are designed to be used by people.
Those kinds of PMS tools
That is the category I mean: AppFolio, Buildium, DoorLoop, Hemlane, Entrata, EliseAI. AppFolio is a residential PMS for staffed teams. Buildium is a long-term rental PMS you operate. DoorLoop is in that same landlord-PMS family. Hemlane is landlord software, with an option to introduce you to a local property manager.
Those are all the types of PMSs, and like I said, they’re designed to be used by humans to operate, and they’re adding in some AI features, and they will add in more, but they are just not there today.
If you want to do it yourself
If you want to do it yourself, these are good tools. You can keep the PMS and add TIDY next to it. If you want AI to do it for you, TIDY, the AI Property Manager is a much better fit.
