Noise Monitoring

Noise Monitoring watches the noise level at a property so you can catch a party before it becomes a neighbor complaint or a damage claim. It measures sound level only — not conversations — using the TIDY sensor.

How It Works

Noise monitoring runs on the TIDY Wi-Fi Router & Noise Sensor — the same device used for Wi-Fi Marketing. Once a sensor is installed at a property, its noise level shows up here as a chart measured in decibels, so you can see quiet periods and spikes at a glance.

Privacy by design. The sensor measures how loud it is, not what’s being said — it does not record audio. That lets you protect the property and your neighbors while respecting your guests.

Why It Matters

  • Catch noise issues early, while you can still act on them.
  • Reduce neighbor complaints and the risk of fines or lost permits.
  • Back up your side of a dispute with objective data.

Already Using a Third-Party Device?

If a property already has a third-party monitoring device installed (Minut, NoiseAware, etc.), you’re welcome to keep using it alongside TIDY. TIDY only monitors its own TIDY Wi-Fi Router & Noise Sensor, so readings from other devices won’t show up in the Noise Monitoring view, but there’s no conflict running both at the same time.
