Tenant Portal

Every guest and tenant gets their own tenant portal — a simple app where they can pay rent, submit maintenance requests, and view their lease. It gives residents a self-service home base and keeps their requests flowing straight back into TIDY.

What Tenants Can Do

  • Pay rent — settle what’s due, which posts to their lease ledger automatically.
  • Submit maintenance requests — report an issue, which comes into your operations to triage and schedule.
  • View their lease — see their agreement and the basics of their tenancy.

Housing Choice Voucher Tenants

For a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher tenancy, the portal shows only the rent and other charges the resident is responsible for. The PHA’s HAP amount is shown as assistance on the lease statement, never as an amount for the resident to pay. If HAP is delayed or adjusted, the resident’s balance does not increase unless a new PHA notice changes the approved family rent to owner.

The resident can also view the lease and HUD tenancy addendum, report maintenance issues, receive inspection-access notices, and see recertification reminders. Sensitive voucher, household, accommodation, VAWA, tax, and banking records remain restricted and do not appear in the general portal.

See Section 8 & Housing Choice Vouchers for the full PHA and payment workflow.

Each tenant has a stable, tokenized link to their portal. You can copy it or send it via Messages from the tenant’s contact record, or copy it straight from a lease ledger. The same link keeps working, so a tenant can bookmark it.

No personal data in the link. The portal link uses a secure token rather than personal information, so it can be shared safely and resolves to the right tenant and lease without exposing private details in the URL.
