PMS products fundamentally have been around for a long time. They are all kind of like a CRM for your property or a tool that lets you track your guests, reservations, and properties. They have a lot of features, for accounting, for tracking your listings, pushing your listings out to channel management, tracking tasks, and things like that.
Some of them don't have cleaning workflows at all still. Some of them have introduced a few lightweight things, but these are really trivial things, like, “Oh, when there's a job scheduled, assign it to some pro.” That just simply doesn't work. Again, pros are not going to use apps. They mostly don't use apps, and most people don't log in or do anything. There may be availability conflicts.

Yes, we are more new to the other easier commodity things, like guest messaging, booking, channel management, and pricing optimization. We do use partners like PriceLabs as a part of our stack. But generally speaking, TIDY has been more recent to the things that everybody does. We have been doing the thing that nobody has been doing for a long time, and that is the hardest part of it. That is a very big difference.
Hostaway may fit a staffed, hands-on operation
If you already have an operations team and want deep PMS controls for that team to use, Hostaway may be the better fit. TIDY is for owners and managers trying to reduce the amount of human coordination required.
